I was actually born into a real estate family! My dad was in real estate my entire life growing up, so I got to see the business. I actually graduated high school early and jumped right into real estate — even though I couldn’t get my license for a couple of years, since I was underage.
But as soon as I could, I got my license and fell in love with the industry. I love interacting with people and the connections that I make with people when I’m doing it. It’s not necessarily a money game for me; it’s more for relationships with people.
What drives you to be the best at what you do in Real Estate?
Honestly, it’s the people. My ultimate goal is to make sure people’s needs get met and helping them through the entire process as an advocate. So that’s what drives me — a focus on making sure I’m taking care of my clients thoroughly.
What does being a Realtor mean to you and your clients?
Being a realtor is about serving a client, being an advocate, and helping your clients in whatever situation they’re in. Ultimately, that’s what it means to me. At the end of the day, I can have a ton of clients, or I can have a few — but as long as I’m taking care of them and serving them the best I can, I’m happy. I just want to make sure I’ve helped as much as I can. Again, it’s not necessarily money-driven for me — it’s more about “How can I help you?”
In today's market, why is it important for a buyer or home seller to use a Realtor to buy or sell a home?
With technology where it is right now and how fast-paced everything is, a Google search is now at your fingertips. People can buy or sell homes online with a computer. However, an agent is still so essential. This world is so fast-paced and so tedious. This transaction is a big deal. It’s a huge purchase, and it’s also an investment. It’s essential to work with someone who knows the industry, knows the contracts, and knows the business side of the process.
What do you want prospective clients to know about you?
That I’ll always be honest. I will always tell the truth. I will always let you know when I don’t know something and have to research it, or when I see a red flag pop up — whether it’s with the contract or with the house. I’ll always be honest and upfront about what I’m seeing.
What's your best memory/client success story within the real estate industry?
I think my favorite memories have to do with old clients — catching up with them to see where they’re at now. With buying or selling a house, there’s always a reason behind what they’re doing. Most of the time, it’s stressful — there could be a baby involved, a divorce, or a new job. So it usually comes with a significant life change, and my favorite thing is to follow up with people and see just how far they’ve come since that purchase or sale.
Oh, it’s the weather and the environment. Definitely the mountain life. The summer, the winter, the hiking, the skiing, and the camping — everything outdoors.
What's one fun thing about you?
I really love traveling. I’ve enjoyed road-tripping. That’s a fun thing. I love to take little road trips and adventure to new places.
