Denver welcomes the University of Colorado A-Line!

University of Colorado RDT A-Line Opening

The time is here! The University of Colorado RTD A-Line commuter rail from Denver Union Station to Denver International Airport is finally arriving!

The A-Line is a 23-mile rail system to make travel between the Denver International Airport and Downtown Denver quick, affordable, and fast! With stops all along the I-70 corridor this will also provide quick access in both directions to communities along the way. Trains will leave every 15 minutes making it easy to catch the next one!

Fares are fairly simple and affordable. Local fares are 1-2 rail fair zones for $2.60, regional of 3 fare zones are $4.50, and finally to and from DIA are only $9. Day passes, monthly passes are available as well as EcoPasses and CollegePasses.

To make the travel more convenient to all commuters there have been an added 4,329 parking spaces among 6 of the stations along the line. Parking fees can apply but these may be worth it to those that have a little distance between them and the station.

To celebrate this grand opening Governor Hickenlooper will be commemorating the opening on Friday, April 22nd at the Denver International Airport from 10:00 AM to noon! After the ceremony until 9:00 PM all rides on the A-Line from any of the 8 stations will be free. Check out the new rail and all of the events at each station along the way! Please remember airport parking WILL still have parking fees if attending the grand opening.
