Can you give me a little bit about you and your background? What prompted you to get into the real estate industry?
I moved back to the United States from Europe after six years of studying abroad and decided I wanted to go into sales. After I worked for Enterprise for a few years, I decided it would be a better idea to work for myself. I wanted to be in control of my own destiny. So I decided to make a change.
I had a friend that encouraged me to get into real estate; he was in the industry. He told me, “You have the skills and the communication to be successful in this — I think you should try it.”
After that, it took me a few years to wrap my head around the idea that I needed to go to real estate school in order to get a license! I tried the online class — it just wasn’t for me. I needed to be in a classroom setting, so I decided to go back, passed the tests, and start my career in real estate.
What drives you to be the best at what you do in real estate?
Well, first, I’m the oldest of six kids, so I find that I’m very competitive. And second, it’s just being aware of my responsibility. People are making one of their largest purchases they ever will make. It’s my duty to help guide them through the process with as little stress as possible.
What does being a realtor mean to you and your clients?
That’s very simple: for my clients and me, it means they’re able to transition from one living situation to another seamlessly.
In today’s market, why is it important for a buyer or a home seller to use a realtor to buy or sell a home?
It’s a tricky market! Trying to navigate it without experience and knowing how those different things work can be detrimental when it comes to a buyer getting into a specific type of home, or those timelines from trying to get to one living situation to another.
So having a realtor’s assessment is crucial — especially with the complicated nature of things in the Denver market.
What do you want prospective clients to know about you?
I’m an open book! Go ahead and ask me anything. I’ll always be there to answer any questions. I’m here to help you in your transitional time, and let me work my magic — because this is what I do, and I love doing what I do.
What’s your best memory/client success story within the real estate industry?
One specific situation comes to mind: I had people on a contract, but their loan fell through. We still got the process to work; it might have taken a little bit longer, but in the end, it was so worth the effort and the frustration. We’re still on super happy terms on Facebook — they message me all the time.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Colorado?
Oh, it’s the outdoors. I love to hike. I go to Steamboat Springs every summer and winter. I like the atmosphere, the landscapes, and I love the people that are here. It’s a dynamic group because we keep getting an influx of people from everywhere, which makes our community very diverse. It keeps everything more exciting since there are more opportunities to learn from other people.
What’s one fun thing about you?
I have a musical side — I’m a classically-trained pianist, and I love to sing!
