Farmers markets are almost in full swing, with several to choose from just about everyday of the week. You can find local fruits, veggies, cheese, meat, bread, and pretty much anything your foodie heart desires. We’ve come up with some of our favorite farmers markets to frequent throughout the summer.
South Pearl Street Farmers Market
South Pearl Street Farmers Market is located at the 1500 block of S. Pearl St. between Florida and Iowa. The farmer market runs every Sunday May 15-Nov. 13 from 9am-1pm. Not only does the South Pearl Street Farmers Market have locally grown and artisan-quality foods, but delicious ready prepared foods like Waffle Up!, Glazed & Confused Donuts, Pierogies Factory, Quiero Arepas, and Biker Jim’s Gourmet Dogs. You’re bound to leave with a happy tummy and a refrigerator full of fresh fruits and veggies.
Boulder Farmers Market
Boulder Farmers Market is a real treat and probably one of the best farmers markets in Colorado. The produce rivals the most famous markets in the nation and with the market running from April-Nov., you get a chance to experience the changing seasons produce. The Boulder Farmers Market is held every Wednesday and Saturday on 13th St. between Canyon Blvd. & Arapahoe Ave. The Wednesday market is held from 4pm-8pm and the Saturday market from 8am-2pm. The Wednesday market runs from May till October, and the Saturday market runs from April till November. The markets spread is extensive providing fruits, veggies, dairy, meat, fish, fresh pasta, bread, honey, spices, hot sauce, coffee, kombucha and so many more amazing local foods. This is one farmers market not to be missed this Summer or even Fall!
Cherry Creek Farmers Market
The Cherry Creek farmers market is in its 19th season and is a favorite among many. It is located in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, in front of Bed, Bath & Beyond, on 1st ave & University Blvd. The market runs every Wednesday from 9am – 1pm and every Saturday from 8am – 1pm. The Wednesday market begins June 15th and runs through the end of September, and the Saturday market runs from May till the end of October. The Cherry Creek farmers market provides a high quality mix of Colorado growers and local gourmet food vendors. The market also provides visitors with chef events, gardening tips from Master Gardeners and Master Composters, live music and more in a fun and festive outdoor shopping environment.
