    What Should You Do in Denver For St. Patrick’s Day?

    So you’re in Denver for St. Patrick’s Day. Maybe you’re just visiting, or maybe you’re new in town. Maybe you’ve lived here your whole life, but you don’t get out much. Maybe you just want an excuse to plan something fun for a family weekend. Thankfully, there are lots of events planned in Denver for St. Patrick’s Day, for whatever your interests are. And now you don’t have to scour the web for them because we’re here to put together a list of the best all in one place.

    Family-friendly events

    If you’re looking for a great place to celebrate with your family, you’ll want to check out these awesome events. One of the most popular is Denver’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, which features performances with horses, bagpipes, Irish dancers, and much more. This event takes place on the 16th, so you’ll have lots more time to celebrate the day-of. If you don’t mind driving about twenty minutes from Denver, there’s also a great St. Patrick’s Day festival in Arvada. This festival is for all-ages, and features step-dancers, authentic Irish food, and crafts and games the whole family can enjoy. For those who love to be active with their families, there’s the Lucky Laces race with lengths of one mile, 5k, and 10k taking place March 16th. The race takes place in the beautiful Denver City Park and offers beer, snacks, and trinkets for participants. There is also a Lucky Charms race taking place the week before St. Patrick’s Day on March 9th.

    Best St. Patty’s Day Nightlife

    If you’re looking for great places to drink green beer and celebrate the holiday, you’ll want to check out some of these awesome events hosted by great bars and clubs in the area. There’s something for everyone, no matter what your interests are. If you’re a part of the LBGT+ community or want to celebrate with your LGBT+ friends, you’ll want to check out Tracks Nightclub. Tracks offers a St. Patrick’s Day party every year, with plenty of Irish beer and events taking place all weekend. If you like the nightclub scene, you might want to check out events happening at some of the hottest dance spots in Denver. Clubs like Beta Nightclubthe Church, and Club Vinyl always have something going on for St. Patrick’s day weekend. These events are usually announced a few weeks prior to the holiday itself, so make sure to keep an eye on their websites for more information.

    St. Patty’s Day Activities

    Not all of St. Patrick’s Day has to be about the nightlife. There are plenty of fun activities during the day all weekend for the Irish holiday! If you’re a creative person and want a chance to explore your artistic side, you’ll love the St. Patrick’s Day paint and sip. Create a beautiful Irish-themed painting while sipping beer. No experience is required, but an early signup is suggested to reserve your spot. If you’re just looking for something low-key and fun, you might want to check out the Mini Donut and Beer pairing at the Blue Rhino on the 17th. Try new taps while you feed your sweet tooth. This event takes place at 1 pm on the 17th. On Friday night, Army Community Service is hosting a free St. Patrick’s Day themed bingo night, which could be a great kick-off to your weekend. There are prizes for winners and a guaranteed great atmosphere.

    Authentic Irish food and drinks

    Sometimes it’s not enough to just go to a few St. Patrick’s Day parties. On St. Patrick’s day, you might want to experience more of Irish culture than you normally would. Or maybe you just really love Irish food. Luckily, Denver has you covered for that too. The city has a great selection of Irish pubs that offer both Irish food and spirits, all of which offer special pricing and foods on St. Patty’s Day. Some of the best-rated on google are Scruffy Murphy’sIrish Snug, and Nallen’s Irish Pub. Be sure to check them out for all your corned beef and shepherd’s pie needs.
